With the ongoing Covid pandemic, the running of events in 2021 will be dependant upon any restrictions put in place by the government and motorcycle organising bodies - see events for proposed 2021 dates

Entries for Round 4 hosted by Yeadon and Guiseley club will go live on the ACU website in approximately 4 weeks time.

Given the popularity of the series so far this year with rounds 1, 2 and 3 being fully subscribed, we anticipate the possibility of the same demand for entries to this round. Logistically the club have a limit on the number of riders they can cater for (TBA)  meaning that there is the possibility of the event being oversubscribed. The organisers have discussed this possibility and have devised a method of finalising a rider list should this be the case. This is in preference to having an oversubscribed online entry which will necessitate additional admin and refunds for unsuccessful riders.

The most practical approach will be to prioritise riders who have supported the series in rounds 1, 2 and 3 of this year and also in the longer term. In addition, as the series is an actual championship rather than a series of standalone events, riders who have scored championship points this year will be given priority followed by those who scored points last year. This was deemed the fairest and most practical way of determining the entry should oversubscription be an issue.

To enable this there will be a pre-entry procedure and riders wishing to compete should register their details on this website by 20th June. A temporary page has been added to the site named Registration Round 4 where you can register your name, machine and class. The details of all riders registering will appear on that page so that you can confirm your registration has been received.

The registration page will be removed on 20th June. A final list of riders that have been accepted will then be compiled and published on the site and these riders alone can then submit their entry to the event via ACU online entry. Compilation of the entry list will be done by Gerry and Fredina, NOT the club secretary.  Please do not contact the club secretary with questions about acceptance. Any queries should go to the Gerry/Fredina via the series email twinshockchampionship@gmail.com

NOTE - As mentioned in the recent communication on the facebook page, the class structure has been amended with the class for older twinshocks being dropped and all twinshocks will now compete in the same class.

The structure is now Class 1 - A/C Mono,  Class 2 - Twinshock,  Class 3 - British Bikes

New Class structure for Twinshock machines.

The number of riders entering on older twinshocks has been disappointingly low. In order to encourage more participation using older machines from the early 70s the classes have been redefined with older bikes competing against each other in the same class. Time to stop polishing them for facebook and to get them dirty For full information click here

Team Trial anyone?

A new feature is being considered for the series which is the feasibility of running a team trial at a number of rounds in 2021. Further details will follow but the rationale is that if riders are travelling to events on a Saturday, which many do, then to make the journey more worthwhile a team trial could be run on the Saturday afternoon. There would be both expert teams and clubman teams and consist of three riders per team. Sections would be different from those used in the main event on Sunday. Logistics are still in discussion at this time, further details will follow in due course

In 2019 we fund raised  for Teenage Cancer Trust, in memory of Dominic Feaks, to help those youngsters going through cancer treatment.

Dom lost his battle with cancer in June 2018, at just 21 years old.

This was possible due to the generosity of all who contributed, riders, officials, observers, friends and family, people donating  items for auction along with donations from clubs themselves. Lastly but not least, the brave souls who volunteered to pose on the calendar which was a huge success. The breakdown of funds raised is shown below
